The Context Menu contains tabs on the left and actions on the right. These actions include invoking tools with their searches, a copy reference in search term format, a variety of searches, and/or a variety of lookups. What options are available depends upon the tab selected on the left.

  1. Verify that you know what each tab means? When you select a tab, it’s name appears in large text at the top of the action side.
  2. Chose a passage, open the context menu via right click with text selected. Try some of the searches. Verify that you have a reasonable sense of what the results will be.
  3. Chose the labels you think you will use the most. Verify that you know where to find the definitions of the attributes (properties) and the meaning of the values.

    What are you differentiating here? I would think that both are selected...

    Milestones have Reference in the tab's name, so the first applies to a Bible reference.

    Cross-references include the datatype name e.g. Louw-Nida and Greek Strong's that you list separately. Meaning that Bible, Brown-Driver-Briggs, DBL Greek, Greek GK, etc. would also have to be listed.

    One appears as the second line (under selection) with its own specific icon; the other appears lower down in the tab list with the generic data type (angle brackets) icon.

    The examples make no attempt to be comprehensive ...it is only the tab category (as it appears in large type on the action side when selected) that I tried to make comprehensive.

    For what it's worth, the item that appears under selection and before the line is the milestone. The icon has to do with the data type, not the position in the list.

    Here's an example from right clicking on a hyperlinked reference in Enhanced Strong's Lexicon:

    There are multiple milestones at this location, so the show up under the selection, before the line. These have the same icon as the Hebrew Strong's reference further down.

    The icon in this case is the generic data type reference icon that is used when there is no specific icon for the data type.
