Don’t sales depend on the publisher approval?

Yes and no? Sometimes it seems they do. It’d be nice if something could be worked out, though 👍😁👌

No disagreement there. But this is what the FL reps say when they reply to the comments.

My guess is that part of the Zondervan and/or Faithlife thought process is if they give a deep discount on the courses then customers will automatically purchase the textbooks right away at full price while they are feeling the high of the video deal, so from a business standpoint, it makes sense not to put the textbooks on sale. It would be great though!
To be clear, I'm not saying Zondervan/Faithlife is wrong for this approach. I think it's a smart business decision, and either way, I got some good deals on some video courses I wanted.

Good point. This is like buying printers at a good discount. Then, you pay full price for the replacement cartridges. Companies may lose money on the sale of printers, but make it up from the sale of cartridges. Similarly, it is quite possible Faithlife don't view the profit from videos in isolation, but think of the profit from videos + textbooks jointly.
I believe in a Win-Win-Win God.

My printer ink HP is $16 bucks each compared to my former EPSON ink which was $80 bucks!!!! The worse was that I paid $60 and that was the regular price back then!!!
I don’t print as much anymore, but $16 for ink is a relief 😮💨DAL
