Customize Logos Toolbar
Pretend for a moment that Logos had the ability to customize & personalize the toolbar so that buttons could be removed. Which buttons would you remove? For me, I would remove:
- Store button - introduced in 9.5 beta & now part of the release version - never used & is wasted space
- Go box - rarely used except to drag commands to shortcut bar
- Library - rarely used as I use the keyboard shortcut
- Home - rarely if ever used
- Factbook - I'm on the fence about this one because I use this one, but the one dragged into the toolbar is slightly smaller
Other customizations I wish would come:
- Move account options into 3 vertical dot menu - account button seems like an unnecessary button
- Make the Logos icon have a purpose - largest icon on the toolbar and does nothing
For other toolbar ideas, see the Faithlife feedback site.

1. Would really love a consistent and customizable toolbar!
2.

largest icon on the toolbar
- Logos needs to be consistent [a word used by some developers in recent threads] - yet the spacing and size of icons are NOT consistent. Spacing needs to be reduced! This wastes space.
3. Must be able to remove the store icon - doesn't fit with the flow (study icons), wasn't asked for by users, takes up too much space - which is at a premium. [I do have multiple large 'developer' monitors, but use Logos on my laptop!]
4. You probably know about my feeling about the self-advertising monstrosity of the non-functional Logos icon!! [Not consistent with protocol of other programs by other companies - just imagine if MS Word had a huge logo on its toolbar- they only have a tiny 'favicon' style logo!!]
5. Unfortunately I like and use the other functional buttons and would probably keep them.

...oh, and I forgot to say, I would also prefer icons for 'Docs, Guides, Tools' rather than words (which again take up too much space!). The words could appear as a hover-popup for newer users, or preferable be made a user-preference option!

Pretend for a moment that Logos had the ability to customize & personalize the toolbar so that buttons could be removed. Which buttons would you remove? For me, I would remove:
1. Store button - won't use it. taking up valuable space on my toolbar.
2. Account button - don't use it, taking up valuable space on my toolbar. I don't need to switch accounts. I only use Logos with one account.
3. Factbook* - I too am on the fence because I use the Factbook a lot more since the enhancements but I would like to add my own shortcut that is smaller and takes up less space. I would also like it in a different spot on the toolbar.
Other customizations/fixes I wish would come:
1. Fix the Go box so that when you execute a command it doesn't change size and push my shortcuts off the screen. They also need to speed it back up, it's getting slower and slower because they're trying to make it do too much.
2. Have less space between the toolbar buttons and menus. There is a lot of wasted space on the toolbar just because the buttons and menus are spaced so far apart.
3. Add the ability to change the order of the menus (Docs/Guides/Tools). I personally would have them in the exact opposite order (Tools/Guides/Docs).
4. Remove the non-functional Logos logo or make it the homepage button to save space.
5. Add a shortcut key for Favorites like they have Ctrl-H for History, maybe Ctrl-Shift-F. I had to remove my Favorites shortcut (among other things) from my toolbar after the addition of the Factbook button to save space and I would like a quick way to open Favorites without opening a menu. I wouldn't need this if I could customize the toolbar and remove the Account menu and/or the Factbook button, but other users might also find it useful to have a shortcut key.

Interesting, especially since my list would be nearly the opposite of yours....
okay, the store button I could do without - especially since it only opens the library in store view, instead of the store itself (and I usually have the store open in a browser anyway) - but I can see where FL is coming from in introducing it. I use the store view in the library - and the store itself - so the button doesn't help me as it probably does others.
The Go box is absolutely necessary - I use it for Logos commands as well as for opening resources. Never for layouts or the factbook, though. And I had to look up that Search really exists as a tool from the menu - I always open it from the button inside the go box.
Library: I use it all the time. All the time. To open the library in a tab, in a floating window, in the pop-up. There's a keyboard shortcut for it? Nearly never took notice. The library button is among the most used in my Logos.
Home: Since I don't start to the home page, I need it to switch over. It was reduced a bit recently since my most used reading plan comes to my cell phone on a daily basis, as do the Moravian watchwords via eMail. I probably could live with its functionality given to the Logos symbol.
Factbook - probably the one I would disable at once if I could customize the toolbar. It is staring into my face all the time anyway (especially when using the Command/Go box - luckily the annoying underline-links to it can be disabled). Not sure if clicked it three times in total since its inception.
--- things you didn't mention ---
I used to have a self-made-button for "close all" (slightly smaller than the official button), but this command is so easy I maybe typed it more often than actually using the button. Probably I'd keep the button, but if screen real estate was an issue, this one could go without much ado.
The standard menus are quite short in English: "docs, guides, tools": 15 characters without the space around - the German UI takes 37 for "Dokumente Assistenten(G) Werkzeuge(T)" - here three menu buttons would be so helpful - or one hamburger menu button branching out to these
The Layout menu could be easily invoked from the Kebap menu
I think I never used the Account menu below my avatar. Since I don't switch between multiple IDs or such, I wouldn't miss this button at all.
There's so much white space around the buttons, the menus etc. I'd like to customize the whole bar as "narrow-spaced": all buttons and elements get the same amount of white space the custom buttons get. This would save!
---
This all just to say that usage scenarios differ widely. If customization comes, it needs to be well thought out.
Have joy in the Lord!
