Transfer books that were bought on sale?

I bought a whole bunch of NIGTC volumes in 2016 on sale (I was a new Christian and saw good reviews, didn't realise I should probably know a bit of greek )

I've heard you can't sell books that were on sale?

I would like to transfer them all to my pastors library (not receiving payment)

Is it possible to send them to him for the $20? charge even though they were bought on sale?
