I just ordered books for school on logos, but when I try to open them in logos from the faithlife website, it says I am not licensed to read it even though it says its purchased on faithlife.

How do I get access?

Greetings Austin and welcome to the forums.

You have posted in the Desktop Forum; are you using a desktop installation or are you accessing the program by going to app.logos.com?

Whichever, the most common problem is that resources are purchased using one set of login details and then the program is opened using a different account.

As a first step please confirm that you are using the same login details and then tell us a little more about your system. I'm sure we will get to the root of the problem quite quickly.

Thank you! I'm using the desktop app, and they have the same log in credentials as my online account.

Ok Austin that narrows things down a bit.

I am a bit confused about the bit in your question 'when I try to open them in logos from the faithlife website'.

On my system, to access purchased books I click on the Library icon... (the third from the left)

Just occasionally, if downloads haven't come through, I type 'update now' in the bar to the left of the green box with GO in it.

The only other thing that comes to mind is to make sure you haven't got 'automatic downloads' turned off.

If nothing above helps perhaps a screenshot of your library panel showing the error message might help.

Right so there is my confusion as well. When I search for the book in the logos library, it doesn't show up. But when I go to the Faithlife store, it says I do own it, which I better, because I purchased it.

I can tell you are frustrated. The forums are a crowd sourced means of customer service. If you need more immediate help, I encouraged you to call FL directly.

If your credentials are the same as the ones you purchased the resource with, then it might be good to look at some common things which would cause troubles.

    1. What specific version of the app are you using?
    2. What internet settings do you have on the app?
    3. Do you have "download new resources" turned on or off?

It might help to tell give us an example of a missing resource.
