instructions are too highlight the text, then right click the higlighted text and choose report typo,
from the drop down menu.
The problem is that i do not have "report type" in the drop down menu;
maybe a bug? or am i missing something here?
highlight the text in your resource which has the typo
Then right click on the highlighted text
then see below
I do understand what you are saying, and at first i thought "thats it!" i didn't know i was to click selection, But it won't let me click selection. I highlight the typo then i right click for the menu box, i then hover curser over the word selection as per your post ,but the it dosn't light up at all to choose it... I tried another book, just to make sure, but the same thing...
when you right click on the typo and the menu appears, what do you see shown in white on the right side of the menu?
I highlight the typo then i right click for the menu box, i then hover curser over the word selection as per your post ,but the it dosn't light up at all to choose it.
When the mouse is over the word "Selection", just click it (hover will not do anything).
Yeah i know just hovering over a item, is not going to do anything.... just letting you know that selection is disable, it is there but will not let me click it. But hovering over items, those items you can do something with do light up... to let you know you can take action with those items
yes i do, it just has on the header bar the word selection and also my typo word the i highlighted.
The selection command is disabled, i cannot use it
I read a lot on my IPhone and wish there was a way to report typos....I am currently reading the book "Selected Sermons of George Whitefield" and have reported many typos after reading about half of it...but, I have to go back to my computer, bring up the book and go line for line to find the errors....it takes quite a bit of time and sometimes I wonder "Why am I doing all this work for nothing"? But I think, product improvement is always good. It would be nice when a typo was reported the first time that Logos would give a small amount of credit on my account for helping to improve their product which could be applied to future purchases....
guess i can't report any typo's any other help?
Upload a Screenshot of your right-click menu and tell us what you can select.
Like others have said ... please show us a screen capture of what you get when you highlight the typo then right click.
I don't think this is the issue, as you have described it, but "Report Typo" is only possible if you are signed in and working online. When it works, it reports the typo "live" back to the Logos servers, so if you are offline, the "Report Typo" option in not even on the menu.
(Some have asked for a offline or batch mode that will save the typo report and sync or upload it at some later date, just as it syncs many other things.)
Here my print screen, I tried to inclue the cruser, but i guess it do not like getting it's picture taken
this screenshot is with the cruser hovering over the selection button, as you can see the selection button is not lite up, nor do i have the scroll bar...
Here's another one showing the cruser hovering over an option, it lights up, before you click it
Do you have a Logos base package?
Did you log into Logos when you opened the Logos4 program?
I don't see any sync symbols on your Logos toolbar
you need to be logged in to Logos (e.g. working online from the log in screen) is my understanding for report typo to work.
You might just have syncing your data disabled, but when you first opened Logo4 you should have seen a screen like this
Also you will need to be online (e.g. connected to the internet).
This is just my understanding, i don't think the program will show report typo when it is not connected to the internet.
Others here may confirm or correct me.
DUH!
That was it! somehow i must have turned off the internet setting in program settings, Was trying to
speed things up abit. I guess i was thinking it would connect if reporting typo's .
I aways do learn the hard way.
A big thanks Steve Clark

To restrict your screen grab to the current Window use Alt+PrtScr (the background is pretty but distracting!).
