Expositor’s Dictionary of Texts a Dictionary?

Just saw today that the Expositor’s Dictionary of Texts is releasing from prepub this month. It looks like a valuable resource to be used to exposit the more important texts of Scripture. 

However the product details state that the type of resource it will be is a Dictionary. I’m a bit baffled by this, and think it would make much more sense as a commentary. I did notice that each scripture section has a heading with a random title. I’m wondering if these headings will be what the dictionary uses as headwords. Seems problematic..

would much rather this was a Bible Commentary - and seriously considering canceling.

Would love some inside info on how this resource will be formatted. And if it is in fact, to be formatted as a dictionary - what will be used for headwords.

I think so too, and actually expect it to be type:bible-commentary since that's the only thing that make sense.

don't. I think that the individual who made the product page didn't really look farther than the resource title "....dictionary...." when they put the type, but that - as usual, until the automated linkage of resource metadata and product pages will come at some point - this has no bearing whatsoever on the production process of the actual resource.     

We'll see in two weeks.
