Biblical Places and Timelines - Easy access from bible passages? - Faithlife Forums (logos.com) This thread makes a very good case as to why the lookup for a place names should be split into two parts - one for dictionaries (as currently doing) and one for atlas resources, a new function. This should be combined with correcting the current bug of an very long list rather than limiting the lookup list to the first 5 entries.

I have not put this on the feedback site yet as people who use maps more than I may wish to modify this proposal to what they believe will work best.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks for noticing the thread. Very well summarized. Appreciate your clear and succinct conclusion in the suggestion. A right mouse lookup of a place name leading to atlas resources would be fantastic!

Some (probably quite naive) options for implementation...

    * SIMPLE - Contextual right mouse click that brings up a Biblical Places lookup link (probably under the Factbook and Atlas links).

    * SEARCH BASED - Add a search map/atlas resources option to the existing options (Inline Bible, Basic, All Open, All Resources, Everything).

    * HARDER BUT SPECTACULAR - Provide a set of passage-relevant maps with a few easy clicks. In a perfect world, this would include the Atlas tool, atlas resources, and other resources with relevant maps, such as study bibles, bible handbooks, dictionaries.
