Not all of us have fast internet connections. I have satellite internet, and very limited bandwidth. Whenever Logos attempts to synchronizes, I pretty much can't use the internet for anything else until it's done (or usually I just have to open Task Manager and force Logos to close so that I can continue what I was doing).
I know there's the option to allow Logos to use the internet. There also used to be an option to only enable downloading updates between certain times, which was really useful for me, though that's no longer listed.
But it would be nice if there was also an option to disable automatic synchronization. If I want to synchronize, let me manually click on the update icon, and then it can check and see if there's updates or new resources to be downloaded. But it wouldn't do it automatically.
The same when I exit Logos, I'd like the option for it to NOT pop up saying it's uploading my settings and documents. I use Logos mainly on my computer. I also have the app installed on my phone with a few books, but I only use that for reading and I don't need it to constantly synchronize with the computer.
Please give us the OPTION to not have it automatically synchronize. It uses up a lot of bandwidth doing so.
Case in point... Logos started to synchronize when I tried to submit this post, and so the reCAPTCHA couldn't connect to the internet and I had to close Logos just to be able to submit this. I don't mind Logos being connected to the internet but I'd like the option to tell it when it can synchronize, rather than it doing it whenever it feels like all day long and bringing my internet connection to a crawl while it does so.
