Bible reading plan has too many windows

When I open my bible reading plan from the home page, I get a passage guide and the explorer window in addition to my ESV text.
How do I work it so that only the
bible opens, in a full-screen layout, without the passage guide, etc.,
and it opens to the current reading? I've figured out how to save a layout with the bible only, but it opens to the same place where it was when saved...it won't open to the current reading.

Open the saved reading plan layout, then type option-H (go to Home Page), and click on today's reading. This will take you back to the open layout at the correct day's reading.

There are two ways to do what you want.
- With at least 1 book open click the homepage button and then click the link to your reading from the homepage. It will add the bible to whatever else is open and it won't open the extra study tools. (This is essentially the same as Jack's suggestion)
- On the home page right click the reference, select "reference" on the right hand side and then click "Open link" or "Open link in a new tab"
