Using Sermon Builder on Every Week - Suggestions
I use this tool every week and it has become my go-to rather than using a word processor.
Here are 3 Suggestions:
1. Sure would appreciate the ability to cite a source (via small footnote). For example, we can copy/paste a text from a commentary and it will list the source, above (sort of).
Would be helpful if it listed the footnote instead - as is the case when copy/paste to a NOTE file.
2. Scriptures copy/paste to Sermon Builder are able to be edited (thank you!), however, once this occurs, we cannot click <RETURN> and change the format - it stays in BLOCKQUOTE (grayed out) and cannot be changed - for example - to NORMAL.
There are some work arounds (like having entered clicked RETURN many times to give extra space to work in below. As it is now, I highlight the text and click STYLE, then paste into a NOTE...then copy and paste into SERMON.
3. Kudos that copy/pasted Scripture in SERMON has a BLUE vertical line (when mouse hovers over), but when edited it turns LIGHT GRAY. Sure would appreciate that vertical line staying BLUE!
4. Add colors, font style/size, background to this pop up. (or enable some shortcut keys for SERMON BUILDER like inside of a typical BIBLE TAB.
So THIS could be added to PIC above:
This tool is getting better and better! Thanks Faithlife Logos Team!

Do you know that if you press the spacebar at the beginning of a line and then paste the copied source the citation will be at the bottom?

Now I do! Thanks!
I tried that with Bible passage as well...TIME SAVER!
I would still like to see a better format for cited sources (smaller text, maybe with hyperlink still available). OR placed as endnotes at bottom of Sermon (possibly linked to numbered citation).0 -

Thank you for this PJ!
I was having the same problem as Jackie. It is one thing when referring to a quote in a sermon I do not cite page number, but when leading an interactive S.S. class I prefer to be able to tell participants where they can see what I am talking about.

Jackie,
Thank you for taking the time to point these out and for the nice compliment about the tool getting better and better. To quickly address your points...1. This has been a topic of discussion within our development team recently and we will continue to discuss ideas regarding this in the near future.
2. This ability has actually been resolved and will be shipped with Logos 9.6 release scheduled on July 6.
3. During sometime this summer, our development team will be investigating what it will take to add all passages as editable passage reference blocks. Within this investigation, what you are wanting to take place with the blue color would be possible following the conclusion of this work. All in all, please know that this is on our radar.
4. The work to include more text and background colors will be taking place within the coming months. The intention is to have parity with the Notes tool and the color options it provides. We look forward to rolling this out in a future update later this calendar year.
Feel free to continue to post ideas/thoughts here. We always welcome them and listen with open ears.
