When I purchase a new book why does it take a week or more to download certain books to my PC?

Any suggestions would be most helpful.

    This sounds very strange.

Are these new books - as is newly available on the Logos platform - or are they new to you?

Sometimes it takes a short while for newly published books to become available but it shouldn't take a week or more.

How frequently does this happen and is there anything you are aware of that triggers the download (such as restarting Logos or your computer)?

Have you changed your program settings to only allow downloading at certain times of the day?

I don't know if this is a related problem or not, but I just bought some new books, and they're not showing up for download on my system. I can view the books at app.logos.com and on my mobile app, but the desktop program says, "No updates available" when I use the "update now" command.

In Tools > Program Settings you need Download New Resources = YES. Otherwise, they will appear in Library and you can right click them and select Download.

Yes, thank you, Dave. I had started a new thread about my issue, but I was able to fix it this way.

I discovered I didn't have my download times set properly. So I set it from midnight to midnight and problem solved. [:$]

Thanks for all the good suggestions from everyone, greatly appreciated. May you have a blessed week

This fixed my problem too... for some reason updates were only set to happen between midnight and 7:00am -- when the computer is usually turned off or asleep (like me).  Now set "from midnight to midnight" and away we go...

... and to think I've been chasing my tail through all the BIT settings and pausing firewalls and antivirus software... restarting... etcetera...

... so maybe the help file on download problems should include a simple reference to fixing this setting?

    Thanks! Mike F.
