Batch Linking Multiple Tabs

It seems to be unduly time consuming to have to individually link panels every time I create a new layout. I would like to select multiple tabs and then be able to link them together in a given linkset without having to open the panel menu for each tab.  Am I hoping for too much?

    John, I'm not aware of a way to batch link multiple tabs but I understand why you might want that.

    Personally I don't mind choosing which tabs are linked as I often use different multiple links at the same time. Also, it is only 2 links per tab so unless you have a pile of resources each time it doesn't take that long.
