I am a new user to LOGOS 4 - it is great!
I also have Libronix, but do not understand its purpose or how to use it.
Please help me in understand purpose and use of Libronix.
Thanks!

Libronix is the predecessor to Logos 4. It does many of the same things but in a different manner. It is not yet obsolete as it has certain features which Logos 4 has yet to incorportate. Libronix has resources with embedded audio and video files. Libronix also reads user-created books made with Personal Book Builder (PBB).

Brian,
We have a number of training videos on our website which describe how to use Libronix, and those videos can be found here. Additionally, here is a link to a page (on our website) devoted specifically to Libronix which has different training articles and also links to the same videos mentioned above.
I was thinking about this earlier today. It took Logos years to develop all the features that we came to love in Logos 3. With L4 they pretty much started over from scratch. Most of the features in L4 are already implemented in L3. They are well on their way within 1.5 years to having all the relevant features of L3 included in L4. And in every feature they have implemented I believed they have far surpassed the quality of the Libronix 3 feature. Can you imagine what we will be doing with L4 in 10 years?

Maybe we might be able to use Logos on our hand held mobile device to record the audio of sermon or lecture and have it automatically convert the recording into a note file or have it added to our sermon file document repositiory at the push of a button (with the speaker's permisson of course)
I purchased Libronix 3 about three years (or more) ago. About a year ago, I purchased L4, but I didn't have a computer to install it on until recently. The rep at Logos told me NOT to install Libronix 3. I copied over all of my folders/files from My Docs/Libronix DLS to my new system. Are any of these being used? Is there any method to use the Workspaces I created in Libronix?

That's strange, since up till now there was the undisputed claim that both exist very peacefully on your machine. In fact many use it for old PBBs, for Vocabulary Lists, a minimal speed control on Greek read aloud and especially to install 3rd party L3 resources with licence key code.

Not that I know of - while you may import notes and timelines, AFAIK the Workspaces are different to the L4 layouts..
Charles ... welcome to the forums!
As NB indicated, Libronix and Logos4 can be run on the same computer with no problem. However, unless you like something about Libronix, Logos4 is all that's needed.
The only reason you might want to install Libronix along with your highlights, notes, etc, is to be able to IMPORT them into Logos4. Libronix layouts won't work in Logos4; the approach is considerably different (and more efficient). But Logos4 can use your notes, highlights, and so forth.
Thanks. I think the only 3rd Party resource was The Jeremiah LifeWorks Library eBible. I have all of these resources in L4 so I'm not sure how that happened.
If I have understood you correctly, unless I am going to install Libronix, I don't need any of the folders in Libronix DLS on my new system. I still have my old computer so I just may delete everything but Libronix and disconnect it from the Internet until I can get my Notes transferred to Word. I don't know if that will violate their EULA. I did have 27 xml files in the Vocabulary lists, but I am certain I didn't create all of them.

when you haved all the files in L4, then yes. Otherwise it can be a more efficient way to "scan" the L3 resource folders from L4 than to e.g download all of the resources. If you can use internet on your old computer, then you can freely use this machine to install future L3 resources - it's not a violation of the licence - on the contrary, Logos explicitly grants you the licence on a single user base - regardless of how many machines or gadgets you may use.
The Voc list files probably come from the Logos website - they correspond with various Greek language resources.
