[BUG]? Hotkey doesn't work after right-click

This seems like an odd behavior.

If I highlight some text in a monograph and right-click and add the text to a clippings document, I can click on a highlighter and highlight the text but I can't use the hotkey for that highlighter. The hotkey works before the right-click action, but not after. The highlighter panel click works both before and after the right-click action.

(Clicking on the tab to make the monograph panel active makes no difference.)

UPDATE: It appears that after the right-click action, the page number box for the monograph becomes automatically activated, as my hotkey appears there, replacing the current page number.

After the right-click the focus goes to the clipping doc, and you have to activate the tab for the monograph. That is when the focus goes to the reference box. So the hot key is not the best way to highlight text after the right-click.

Thanks for the explanation, Dave.  That describes what I'm seeing, exactly.

It doesn't fix the problem...which is, this seems to completely destroy the point of having a hotkey. [:^)]

You can propose that it should work the same as highlighting from the palette.

UPDATE: I found a work-around that's a bit too simple to ignore...use the hotkey first (before making the clipping), then right-click and make the clipping.
