I was just wondering if anybody has won anything with the logos "Free Book of the month" competition.

I have been entering for more than 8 years without any luck. Maybe this is only available for US clients and international clients are not considered. I'm not sure if I should continue to pursue in any further competitions to advertise the software.

I have been wondering this as well. I haven't bothered entering in the past due to the first line of the "terms and conditions."

    1. ELIGIBILITY: Logos Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia with access to the Internet at all times during the Sweepstakes and subsequent prize-award period unless otherwise specified by Logos. Non-US residents may enter unless expressly prohibited by local regulations and law.

If they’ve ever announced a winner, I’ve never noticed.

I have engaged with the logos helpdesk to suggest to hide the competition from international clients. They will pass it on to their Marketing team and suggested to perhaps make the disclaimer more visible for international clients.

It says that non-US can enter the competition, unless they have local laws that prevent it.

Why would you not enter - do you have laws in your country that prevent you entering the competition? They are not charging a fee so it is not a paid-for lottery.

    What am I misunderstanding?

    Why?

Thank you Kevin for your concerns. I was hoping that an international client can confirm that they have indeed been awarded a price to put me at ease. I am not aware of any laws preventing South Africa clients to be awarded a prize. I merely want to ensure that all the effort I am putting in every month by posting it on various social media might be rewarded in the future.

Well prayers that requesting the competition is hidden from international users brings you clarity on this issue. [Y]

Thank you for your response Kevin. I think you misunderstood. The competition requires you to post the logos advertisement/"Free book of the month" notifications on your Facebook, Twitter, etc. pages and invite your friends to look at these pages.

Hi Kevin. It's true that it may be available outside of the United States; however, I do have my doubts. First off, like I am currently reading in this blog, there is no claims or support to show that people have won or received these prizes. Also, I question if the terms and conditions are even current. If you look further down in the terms you will see dates that have expired. Would It be reasonable to assume Eligibility may have been modified? Could someone from Faithlife respond?

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes entry period begins July 6, 2018, 12:01 a.m. (PT) and ends July 20, 2018, 11:59 p.m. (PT) (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Winners will be selected from entries properly submitted and received during the Sweepstakes Period.

Faithlife is using a company Gleam to support their competition process. Gleam has a feature where they will randomly select a winner based on the rules and criteria for the competition. However, Faithlife has decided not to use this portion of their offering as they would manually select a winner. It would be interesting to know what criteria they use for a winner.

    A New Way to Giveaway

Looking for this month’s giveaway? Due to low participation, we’re making some changes to get more Bible study resources in the hands of Logos Bible study app users. Don’t worry—they’re not gone for good! Be on the lookout for future giveaways on our social channels on Facebook and Instagram or the Logos homepage.

I am so glad that Logos has decided not to promote the monthly competitions anymore. It was totally unethical in the way that they have decided on the winners (maual process); if there was any winners is another question. I have diligently participated for +10 years, never won anything. I'm glad this free advertising is now gone.
