Hi everyone,

I just installed L4 on a new laptop. I am aware of the options on the Wiki about installing on a new computer and decided to just do a fresh install, download and index. I thought this would be the best option and I have a new ipad to play with so I just let my computer work all evening and overnight and it installed with no hitch, well almost. My old laptop has 3048 resources, after the new install the new laptop has 2946. The only thing I can think to do now is copy the resource folder from my old laptop and paste it on the new laptop and tell it to ignore all duplicate files. My question is does anyone have a better idea/option?

I am not sure you can just copy files over in L4; someone else will have to comment on that. Is your system still indexing? If it is you will not have an accurate resource count until it completes

    Alan,

That is very curious. My suggestion would be to use the Scan command which you can find on the Logos 4 Commands page of the wiki. This provides the least opportunity to mess something up. Load the resources on your new laptop but in a temporary folder. Scan that folder and see if Logos brings the resources in.
