Media Links in Notes
Hi, I am sure there used to be a way of opening links to external files from Notes.
I used to use a note as an in dex to link to my external BBG videos, but now I cant get Logos to follow the link.
Is there a way to do it?

CNTL+click doesn't do it? (assuming that you are on a PC) - could you post a copy of the link?

Unfortunately not.
CMD click (I am on a Mac) doesn't work anymore.
The link is in the format: file:///Users/karljones/movies/Basics%20of%20Biblical%20Greek/Introduction.mov
There used to be a prompt to say 'CMD click to open,' but now there is not.

There used to be prompt saying how to follow the link , but not now.

I reported this a long time ago (just after the Notes tool was introduced), and still not fixed for Windows as well. Links worked on the old Notes.

I think links to file:/// are considered unsafe on both Mac and Windows and thus no longer supported. IIRC Bradley once confirmed that.

Links to files on one's computers are not unsafe. And links made by a user that remain private are not unsafe i.e. I can create a shortcut in the main toolbar but not in Notes.
Why create a nonsense link like https://c/Users/Dave/Documents/links.docx from C:\Users\Dave\Documents\links.docx?
