Faithlife connect vs. Logos package
I have been using Faithlife connect subscription(highest tier) for accessing Logos resources for the past few months and I have been enjoying it. I use the subscription only for the resources I get in the Logos app and I don't really use other features that the subscription offers(courses, tv, etc).
That being said, I'm considering purchasing one of the Logos packages that offers at least what my Faithlife connect subscription is offering, and upgrade it later depending on the resources I need. I want to do this so that I will own the resources in my library and can also use without a subscription.
What is the minimum Logos package to purchase that will have all the resources that my Faithlife subscription is currently offering? Will I be losing anything in Logos by replacing the subscription with a package?

Thank you for the reply!
I extensively use the word study tool, Bible dictionary for Greek and Hebrew and Factbook. Most of the resources I access are through the Factbook.
I’m still getting familiarized with what I can do with Logos app, so I’m not sure if I exactly know what I need.
I’m really sorry for being vague, I came to know about all these tools and resources only a few month back. But if it helps, I’m interested in studying the historical setting and context and would like some resources related to this. The only thing I use for language study are the Bible dictionaries and the word study tool where I can search for the occurrences of the same word across the Bible. I don’t know what other hidden features I haven’t discovered yet
Would it be safe to say that I can get the lowest FC subscription for the features and purchase a bronze or silver resource package?

I doubt that one package would provide this, so I would start by identifying the Connect resources in your Library and checking the ones of particular interest on logos.com:-
- Click the sidebar Filter License > Temporary (mainly Connect resources, but you may have some from a "free" package like L9 Basic).
- Click Series
- Choose a series name and enter that at logos.com e.g. Spurgeon Commentary (I dropped the "series" part to get a better result)
- Click the 10 volume NT collection (which is what Connect gave me)
- The top of the product page confirmed that I have "temporary access to this product".
- At the bottom of the product page you may find This title is included in the following collections
- three packages were listed, of which Logos 9 Baptist Bronze would cost me substantially less than the Spurgeon Collection itself!
- Repeat this for other series/collections of interest and some individual resources.
Note that you may not have all volumes in that series, say 12 of 19, and you would be purchasing all 19. Also, you may not get a list of included collections, implying it is not in a Logos 9 package.
Note that a resource package like L9 Bronze will also offer a Feature Upgrade which will give you search datasets that are not listed in Library, but are part of your Connect subscription.
So you may end up with some Logos 9 packages and some individual collections/resources and having to decide what you want/can afford.
Will I be losing anything in Logos by replacing the subscription with a package?
No. The titles will just change from a Temporary license to Permanent. But if I got that Logos 9 Baptist Bronze, I would be getting one of my Connect series and many other titles of interest at a bargain price.

Make sure you look at the Feature Upgrade packages

it isnt primarily a subscription service for resources, but for features.
JT, you are more informed than I am, but my understanding is that the previous Logos Now was primarily about features, but the move to Connect was an attempt at including various levels (starter, Essentials, Premiere) of resources to make Connect sustainable. When pushback from this move toward including resources occurred, Faithlife created Essential-no resources to grandfather us "not for resources, but for features" users.

Cf. https://www.logos.com/product/168692/faithlife-connect-premiere. If "Owned" appears beside the resource name, it's yours independent of your subscription.

I've had my Logos package for many years and not sure how it compares to the Faithlife Connect version. I have a friend whose interested in Logos and was going to get the connect version to try it out. But from a feature standpoint is it stripped down version of Logos? Can the features be upgraded with a connect subscription?
I'm trying to help my friend navigate this and understand what features are included with the connect version.

Connect Essentials (or alternatively Verbum Now, which is a bit cheaper but has other - less - perks than Connect Essentials) should contain all features and datasets, i.e. the full content of the Full Feature Set which is in the Gold level of L10 Base Packages.
Does this help?
Have joy in the Lord!
