Cannot open/run Mac beta dmg file

OK, so I was all excited to install Logos 4 for my mac at home. (I run it on a PC at church.) I downloaded the beta dmg file. When I double click on it it gives me a window with the Logos icon. When I double click the icon it does nothing. I do notice that my dock jitters a little bit. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have libronix and parallels on this machine. I moved my resources from the windows file to the mac desktop as one responder suggested. Help.

The Logos icon in the dmg window is the Logos application. Drag it (copy) to the Applications folder and then double click on it. Some applications can not be run from a disk image.

Dock icons jump when an dialog box is waiting for interaction - good idea to click jumping icon.

Shoulda read the FAQ's first. I am running Tiger, so the program is doing exactly what Logos says it will do. It doesn't work. Sorry to clutter the forum. Anyone have a bead on a good price for a new operating system?
