There is a chart of 51 Hebrew words that have no English equivalent in the front matter of the NIV Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible. The chart is not indexed or connected with the notes. Therefore, when I read a passage of Scripture and then read corresponding notes from this resource, unless I manually go look at this chart, I don't have anything to alert me that a Hebrew word in the text is in this chart.
The chart has columns for the Hebrew word (with DBL no.), NIV English word(s), and key Scriptures where the word is found. Explanatory notes follow each entry.
I have been playing around with the Cited By tool. (I put this resource in a separate Collection.) It's a bit unwieldy, as it also picks up a lot of references to other notes, but at least I can usually make a quick scan and find the entry in this chart if it exists, but only if the passage is included as one of the key Scriptures in the chart.
What would be better would be to find a way to reference or search this chart WHEN I do a Hebrew word study on any one of those 51 Hebrew words.
Any suggestions?
