Screen markup question

What program do you use to capture the screen and mark it up with arrows and such and is it free? I see different programs being used because of the way they are marked up.

Inquiring minds want to know... lol ....

Personally, for now..... I use TinyTake by Mango Apps. It's not the best but it works after a fashion....

I use Techsmith Capture (free) which is the successor to Jing. Much better than the snipping tool that comes with Windows. Capture does what I normally need (sometimes I'm missing text input) and even more since it keeps the captures in memory even if I don't save them to disk, which helped in the past when I didn't paste into Amber prior to selecting something else.

hmm. My computer has a screen capture key. Is that what you are talking about? Powerpoint has a screen capture feature that creates a video.

To present from the screen you can use Click Tricks. Morris Proctor sells it and he uses it on his webinars. Or you can use epic pen 🖊 and it’s free. Zoom it is free also. Check YouTube for video tutorials on both.

You might note that MacOS users are quicker with the offer of Screenshots because the capability is built into the software. The required editing programs are included applications.

For any just landing here... CMD+Shift+5 offers the full gamut of screen capture/screen recording tools.

Screen captures can be marked up using the supplied 'Preview' application.

Screen recordings can be edited using the supplied iMovie software.
