Attention FL: Sermon Editor Huge Problem with Scripture Hyperlinks
I'm writing to report a huge problem. I used to copy and paste my sermon outline into the sermon editor in Spanish and all the Scriptures would automatically generate hyperlinks so I could preach and just click on a verse reference and the Bible would open up to that verse.
To make a long story short, I copied and pasted my sermon and now the verses are not hyperlinking. I have to go back and click in front of the verse and hit space for the link to generate then hit back space to avoid having that extra space in between verses. I have to do that for all the verses. What happened?
Please correct this problem as is time consuming to go through each verse and hit space and back one by one to create hyperlinks.

To make a long story short, I copied and pasted my sermon and now the verses are not hyperlinking.
I've just tried this on Logos 9.7 SR-1 (on my MacBook) and it worked fine with the hyperlinks being generated correctly.
What version of Logos are you running and on which platform?

And I've just tested with Logos 9.8 beta 2 on Windows 10 and it worked fine there

Running Logos 9.7 on a Windows 10. I think it started happening right after the 9.7 update because it was working fine. I create the sermon on Microsoft Word 365 subscription.

Here’s a picture with two copies of the same lesson. The one on the left, the verses are not blue because they did not hyperlink when I pasted the lesson into the sermon editor. The one on the right has the blue verses because they hyperlinked after I fix them.
It used to be the case that when the program settings were in English they did not hyperlink Spanish verses, so I had switched to Spanish language settings and that took care of the problem. I had kept it like that for a long while and everything worked until the last update. Thanks!

Thanks DAL - I wonder if it is a localisation issue. That's not something. I can check, hopefully someone from Faithlife will comment on this.

Maybe some localization code got altered with the update or something. And yes, hopefully FL can comment on this and get a fix quick in the next update.

There is a known bug currently that when pasting multiple scripture references, usually only the last one gets hyperlinked automatically. Our team is aware of the issue and will be working to complete that later this month. I apologize for the current inconvenience but we will definitely be correcting this in the near future.

Thank you sir! For now, I’ve discovered that instead of click space one by one I can go to the end of each parentheses and click and space that and it catches all the scriptures inside the parentheses. Still inconvenient but less work than doing it one by one.

The problem is still present when copying and pasting Bible references (They will not hyperlink like they used to). Apparently it didn’t get fix with the latest update.

Do you mean the update to the stable release or to the latest beta?
According to the 9.9 beta 1 release notes this looks like it was fixed there:
- Fixed a bug that caused some Bible verses to not be hyperlinked when pasted in a list.

I have the 9.8 update, the latest for me. So I guess it’ll get fix on 9.9 stable release. I somehow got the impression it was getting fixed “later this month” meaning September since I posted this before 9.8 came out. Anyway, I don’t mind waiting til 9.9.

Thank you, FL! Problem is fixed! I finally got to work on a new lesson and everything worked fine with the Scripture references and them getting hyperlinked after pasting the lesson into the sermon editor 👍
