Add Subject Metadata for Lexham Research Commentaries

Can the subject "Bible.O.T.Book Name--Commentaries" or "Bible.N.T.Book Name--Commentaries" (e.g. Bible.O.T.Genesis--Commentaries; Bible.N.T.Ephesians--Commentaries) be added for the Lexham Research Commentaries?

They are not currently showing up in my bible book commentary collections because they are missing this data. Shouldn't these commentaries be classified just like other bible commentaries in Logos? I would prefer not to have to add them to my collections manually.

Seems reasonable. We'll work on that.

I am surprised that is the case (EDIT: but not for much longer as per Kyle's response).

I suggest that your collections include a general OR condition for cases like this e.g.  OR mytag:Genesis  (there are only 19 books to account for if you have collections based on individual bible books).

These are the shared collections available through Faithlife groups that I'm sure many people are using. I didn't create them myself. My point was more so that these commentaries should be classified similarly to other commentaries, but instead they have the subject "Bible Study--Book Name." So while I definitely could adjust the collection rules, I would have to do that for every book of the bible and so would other users that downloaded these same collections. But philosophically why wouldn't Lexham Research Commentaries be treated like any other commentary? That was the main reason for the post.

Thanks to Kyle for being willing to look into this.

instead they have the subject "Bible Study--Book Name."

That reflects their heritage when you read the product page, but the metadata will soon reflect their current Type.

When they are in your Collections tool, you can alter them for your purposes.  But many have an ending OR condition with a mytag value, so it only requires you to tag volumes with that value (max. 19 for this particular series).

I am aware I can change the rules in my copy. My point is that many people probably have these same collections and haven't touched the rules, and maybe haven't noticed that the LRCs are missing. If the metadata is changed, they'll show up for everyone automatically and nobody has to do anything. Easier for Faithlife to change metadata for 19 volumes once (and bring them in line with other bible commentaries) than for each individual user to have to change the rules in their collections.

Actually, it looks like they've already done it. My collections have already updated all by themselves. Thanks for the quick turnaround, Kyle!
