Why don't we get light fonts for logos

I have been waiting long for Logos to make light fonts available (fonts like Arial light, Calibri light, Open Sans Light, or Georgia pro light), but of all the fonts available on my desktop, there is no light version.

Interestingly, I created my own font and that, to my surprise, gets picked up by Logos.

Can someone explain why this is so and when we may expect an upgrade? Screen resolutions these days make light fonts far more enjoyable to read.

I agree. I've created a feedback entry for this: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/more-font-choices

I like sans-serif fonts. I am using Bilo ExtraLight (see the screenshot).

The problem is that Logos will only use the default version of an installed font. That means that I can only have Bilo ExtraLight installed, and not any of the other Bilo font family.

(By the way, I subscribe to a set of Adobe apps for photography and print, so I have access to the Adobe font library, which is how I was able to find and install a single typeface).
