For those wanting to take advantage of re-installing L4 to a drive of your own and wanting to avoid unnecessary Indexing:

  • move (drag) your L4 Resource folder to a folder on the same drive (saves a lot of time over moving to another drive)  --> ...\Logos4\Data\{random}\ResourceManager\Resources
  • uninstall L4 via Control Panel
  • delete the remains of Logos4 folder
  • download Beta4  from http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe
  • choose Custom installation and select location e.g. H:\Logos4
  • Sign-on
  • As program finally opens note the number of resources being indexed
  • Use Program Settings to stop Updates if necessary & close L4
  • Kill the Logos4Indexer with Task Manager (TaskMgr)!
  • Restart L4,  type Scan c:\L4Resources (where you put them) into Command bar & confirm the command by clicking on the suggestion
  • Close & Restart L4 - indexing should begin with a greater number of resources than before.
  • Go to bed!

If you don't kill the Indexer it will only do the v3 resources it has discovered. After I typed Scan etc. I was able to verify that it was also indexing the resources from my old Logos4 folder.
