I'm currently locked in on the old Faithlife Connect Essentials (No Resources) annual subscription. When the next version of Logos releases (Logos 10?), I may want to move to the Logos Full Feature Set and cancel my Faithlife Connect Essentials subscription.
- I'm not interested in purchasing any more Logos base packages unless there are key books in there I need that would cost less to get them in a base package over purchasing them separately. my purchases are now more targeted where I need certain books instead of large collections of books.
- I'd prefer to own instead of rent the features of Logos, hence why I'm interested in the Full Feature Set.
- The two free courses per year have been nice, but I've watched most of the courses that would cover the training I need, so it's a feature I could get go.
- The three free books per month and 25% off Lexham Press books have been nice, but I have most Lexham Press books I want, plus I have most of the free classics books I really want/need.
- Faithlife TV Plus is a decent feature, but I haven't found myself watching it enough. I thought I'd have more time for it, but I don't.
- The Faithlife Connect monthly sale is OK, but I seldom really use it.
- The 2% cash back is nice, and I'll be using it this year, but starting next year, since I'm making fewer book purchases overall, there's less of a chance I'll use it in the future.
- The digital version of BSM is OK, but I canceled the print subscription anyway and haven't had time to read it.
- I seldom remind myself to look at the free preview book each month.
Are there any other features I'm missing, or are those the main benefits of Faithlife Connect?
I'll keep Faithlife Connect this year since I purchased a large amount of Logos books in the first half of the year where I'll get a decent 2% back (starting next year though, my book purchases are going down since I don't have any more live classes, making the 2% back not much), plus I'd rather wait and move to the Full Feature Set when the next version of Logos releases since we're probably about a year away from a new version of Logos if they keep on their same release track.
I may keep my Wordsearch Perks membership that migrated to Logos and use it as a "replacement" membership to Faithlife Connect.
- The $100 I spend with it I'd get back in the form of Logos credit. I could either use it when I need books, or bank it up for each major Logos release Full Feature Set. This would give me the same feel as Faithlife Connect (spending about $100/year), but I'm putting/banking the funds toward ownership of the features each year, not renting them.
- The 10% off various Logos books would be a decent perk if I needed something.
- The three free classics books per month would be similar to Connect. Not something I really need, but I'd take the perk if I kept it.
- The sales are the same as Connect. Not something I use much of, but I'd still have access to them.
- The free training is OK, although I already subscribe to MPSeminars and Learn Logos.
So with Perks, I'd still have some of the features with Connect, but putting the money toward owning versus renting the features.
Anyone else think this is a good solution to go for or should I reconsider Connect?
Thanks!
