indexing on another computer?

Logos 4 beta 2 is installed and fully downloaded but it, the indexing that is, causes my computer to crash (my macbook is older with 2,5 gig memory).  Is there anyway to do this step on another macbook without unstalling physically the harddrives of two macbooks? If possible please send me url link to where I can buy proper materials necessary and url links with instructions (if you do not know or want to type the instructions).  Thank you very much,

That's not a supported scenario. The better thing to do would be to send us logs (instructions are elsewhere on the forums) so that we can figure out why it's not working on your machine and fix it.
