I cannot figure out how to include Septuagint uses of Greek NT words in Bible Word Study
Hi folks,
I'm new to Logos (I just recently bought Logos 9). I tried googling and looking for answers on this forum, but nothing I've tried has worked.
I've got the Orthodox Start Package.
When I do a Bible Word Study, on James 2:13 "mercy" when I go to the Septuagint Translation tab, it has no "settings" option in the header, and says:
This section displays a graph of Hebrew words that are translated by the Greek word being studied as found in the Septuagint. Hovering over the section bar and clicking Settings allows users to choose between the Logos LXX and LXX Swete Septuagints (both of which use the Lexham Hebrew Bible as their Hebrew base text). It appears in the Bible Word Study guide.
My Bibles are: ESV, SBLGNT, KJV1900, LEB, LES2, LES2 Alt, LHB, RSVCE.
When I search for "interlinear" under "Yours" I don't see https://www.logos.com/product/28560/lexham-greek-hebrew-reverse-interlinear-septuagint-hb-swete-edition or https://www.logos.com/product/28561/lexham-greek-hebrew-reverse-interlinear-septuagint-hb-swete-edition but both of these say that I already own them.
I did an initial index everything, so it _should_ all be indexed.
Thanks for any help.

Ok, fyi, I edited my original post to take out the screenshots (that weren't showing). Hopefully now the question makes sense.

Are you running the guide on a Greek Lemma? It doesn't work for Hebrew Lemmas or English words.

I think so -- if it was easier to screenshot I'd show you.
Under the Lemma section it shows the greek letters for "eleos"0 -
FYI, my original post seems to be blocked (because I edited it too many times???). I listed a lot of details about what I'm seeing. The main thing that seems off is that Logos says I own interlinears for the Lexham Septuagint, but when I search in the Logos desktop app, they don't show up.

So you have something like this - but the Septuagint section is empty?

I do not own that one.
For this feature to work you need either the Logos LXX or the LXX Swete Septuagints (both of which use the Lexham Hebrew Bible as their Hebrew base text)

Feature request:
If Logos could tell you what you need to buy in order to get a feature to work.
It'd be really great if it said: "hey this feature is disabled because you don't have the required resources. Any of resource A, B or C will get this working for you"
Thanks for the help.0 -
Could you please link me to those on the Logos site? I'm having trouble finding any with those specific names, and want to be sure I'm buying the right one.
Thanks for your help.

Could you please give me links to the resources at logos.com? I couldn't find any with those exact names, and want to be sure I don't order the wrong thing.
Thanks.

Thanks.
The resources are either of:
- https://www.logos.com/product/25381/the-old-testament-in-greek-according-to-the-septuagint
There are also resources for additional texts

Ok, I purchased https://www.logos.com/product/25381/the-old-testament-in-greek-according-to-the-septuagint -- it's done indexing.
Now I do see the Septuagint section populating whenI do a word study.
What is now confusing me is this.
If I go to LXX Swete, Sirach 1:1 and click "rain" and do a BWS, then when I dig through the LXX Swete results in the BWS, I can't for the life of me find Sirach results. I'm wondering if somehow the deuterocanon is not indexed or something like that? Or am I just not seeing the results?
A related but separate question is: in my BWS results it'll say something like: "| 100 of 139" -- but I don't see how I can ask it for the remaining 39 results to look through.
Thanks for your help.

Reverse Interlinear data has not been provided at this time for the Deuterocanonical books in that resource. You can see this if you turn on the Reverse Interlinear Pane in the Interlinear Options menu for that resource (the button with the Alef and Omega). Because this data isn't available, you won't be able to find data for those books in many places in the BWS.

If you click in the center of the ring graph, you can view all of the results at once. They are displayed grouped together, so you will still need to scroll down to see them all.

I see. Which resource(s) (if any) do contain reverse interlinear data for the deuterocanonical books?0 -

This is due to a lack of alignment in Logos to a Hebrew text for Sirach as per https://community.logos.com/forums/p/175388/1013396.aspx#1013396

If you click the centre of the translation ring (either ring) you should see a list of all the results
You can get similar results by using one of the options in the Textual Searches section of the BWS Guide.
EDIT: Sorry - I see Andrew replied while I was posting.
