Lessons And Study Guides

I am trying to put together a collection of lessons and study guides. The problem that I have is that they are not all tagged with the same resource type. Most of the LifeChange series are tagged bible commentary but 2 of them are tagged Bible Study. Knowing The Bible Series are tagged Bible Commentary. The Journey Series are tagged monograph, study guide and bible commentary, Do you have any suggestions on how I can put together a query to identify the lessons and study guides? Which lessons and study guides do you recommend?

Here is the collection rule I use for Commentary: Study Guides

Type:bible-commentary, monograph, AND (title:("Bible Study Guide"), {Series "The LifeChange Bible Study Series", "A LifeGuide Bible Study", "What the Bible is All About: Bible Study Series", "Bryan Williams Bible Study Collection", "John Stott Bible Studies","Life Lessons", "Not Your Average Bible Study"}, {MyTag "commentary-study-guide"})

Hi Michael:

Looking up lessons , and then "study guides" in L9's products pages, showed some good resources that I do not have.

Then I went to Library and typed: lessons OR "study guides". Many real good resources showed up.

So I did a collection with the rule:

lessons OR "study guides"

the resulting collection is a very unscientific one, and then you have to take a whole lot of resources to the "minus these resources" area, but the beauty is that shows a lot of good resources that one owns and maybe not fully aware of the fact.

Kyle is part way through a project to move resources out of monographs and into more distinctive types. In making that change, some users valued habit over consistency and some study guides remained as commentaries. The intended distinction between Bible studies and study guides was still a bit fluid in the collective mind of the forum users. Then there are the resources that are study guides for creeds, statements of faith, monographs ... I hope that the next release of Logos can complete Kyle's work.

What worked for me was to tag every resource that had questions for review, study, discussion ... whatever name the resource chose to use. The collection is then based on the presence of the tag.
