Spinning arrows

The arrows in the upper right corner of Logos 4 for MAC beta 2 never stop rotating...as if it is downloading/syncing something. Is this normal behavior or is this a bug?

It is not unlikely that you are experiencing sync issues. Uploading your logs would help us diagnose the problem.

Is there a tutorial on how to find and upload your logs? I'm not that computer savy and it sounds complicated.

It's actually relatively simple, and you can find instructions here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx (you can skip step 1, as logging should already be enabled for beta releases). There's also a link to that thread at the top of this forum.

Here is the log file...if I have done it right. Hope you can help me find a solution. Can't wait till Logos 4 for MAC is finished. Best Bible software I have ever used on the PC and I'm looking forward to all the functionality on my MAC. Thank you.

Follow the steps listed on this post: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/19978/150304.aspx#150304
Rather than using the list of resource IDs in that thread, use these, instead:
LLS:29.48.20
LLS:29.49.21
LLS:29.1.22
LLS:29.48.1
LLS:LOGOSNA27

I followed your directions from the thread you gave me while using the resource ID's you provided. Now I get a yellow triangle saying an error occurred and asking if I want to try again. I've done that several times, but still no luck.

I did reset the internet access. Just wanted to make sure you knew that.

I'm also having this same problem with my MacBook Pro. I will attach the resource file from it. The other resource file is from my iMac. The arrows spin for a while and then come up with a yell triangle saying there was an error.

My iMac that we first discussed is now working properly, but my MacBook Pro is still showing the yellow triangle. The arrows spin for a while, but then stop with the yellow triangle saying there has been an error. I sent you a file of the log from my MacBook in a previous post, but I am attaching a later one then the original one I sent.

Used terminal to run a command on Logos4.log file to find 3 more MacBook Pro resources needing some scrolling:
cat Logos4.log | grep "UPDATE FAILED" | grep ResourceViewPreferences | awk '{print $15}' | sort | uniq | sed -e 's/pref:ResourceViewPreferences\/Resource/Open /g' -e s/,//g
Open LLS:6.60.7 Open LLS:CSTONECM61MT Open LLS:NKJVSTBIB

I tried scrolling through the resources you mentioned and was successful with the first two. The "Open LLS:NKJVSTBIB" brings up a yellow triangle saying there was an error. Don't know what to do next, but that seems to be a resource that is causing the problem. Don't know how to fix it. Any ideas?

I continue to have problems with the spinning arrows that end with an error (yellow triangle). The last listing in the console messages says:
7/25/10 2:28:56 PM [0x0-0xab0ab].com.logos.Logos_Bible_Software_4[4325] 07/25/2010 14:28:56 | INFO | 3 | SyncManager | UPDATE FAILED: item has local changes - { Preferences, pref:PanelViewPreferences/Settings, , False }
There are several of these messages that are found when I query "Update Failed." There don't seem to be any resources listed that have failed.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Some panels do not have resources: program settings, collections, etc.
For awhile, B2 was crashing when switching layouts (half dozen times) - after scrolling various items in a layout, switching no longer crashes => puzzling.
