There is no indication that there are Visual Filters:

Passage Lists has that indication, but I have to check VF's to see whether I have any.

Notes and Highlights (Corresponding) is the same, but the indicator remains after unchecking the box.

There is no indication that there are Visual Filters:

This is the expected behavior in resources that don't have any Visual Filters that give results in the current resource. You can still check and uncheck the box, as matching Visual Filters may still be created in the future that work with this resource.

Corresponding Notes and Highlights is similar. That category won't show at all if the resource doesn't support corresponding notes/highlights. It will show and be empty if supported, but there are no notes/highlights that can be shown in the resource.

This is what happens when I check the boxes in the above screenshot and click the indicators that appear:-

Both filters give results in the resource.  But the indicator disappears when the VF box is unchecked whilst the indicator remained for Corresponding Notes & Highlights.

Thanks, I understand what you are saying now. I've written up a case for this inconsistent behavior.
