Our own dictionary....
Every time I get to typing in MS Word... and then somewhere in Logos... I pray again that maybe one day we will get our own private dictionary whereby we can make acronyms for words we type and have the dictionary automatically spell out the words for us... for example... I can type jc and it will spell out Jesus or I can type jcc and it will spell out Jesus Christ or I can type ot and it will spell out Old Testament or nt for New Testament... or god and it will spell our God....etc and etc.
I was so used to having that and depending on it that now I keep backspacing and spelling out the words... maybe I'm just a lazy typer.... lol
I had that in WordSearch..... I really miss that in Logos! It would be great in Sermon Builder and Notes....
I know, I know.... I should be thankful for what I have... and I really am thankful to have Logos.... but a guy can dream can't he?

I use a text expander for doing this...it works in all my apps, so I only have to learn and maintain one system. I am on macOS and use Typinator.

Hmm - I don't use notes a lot so this post prompted me to test the system text expander
only to find that it does not work.
I wonder why our 'built for the Mac from the ground up' (yes I still remember that promise) programme doesn't include this functionality?

Typinator only available to a specific region? I don't find it in my App Store.
It's not in the Mac App Store...here it is: https://www.ergonis.com/products/typinator/
There are a few in the App Store, I think, but they aren't the best, IIRC.

Yeah, it's a bummer that Logos doesn't take advantage of the Mac features like this and the spelling dictionary. It's the price for parity between windows and macOS, I suppose.

On Mac this works for me: go to System Preferences / Keyboard / Text.
At left type word / phrase to be replaced.
At right type word / or / phrase replacement.
No other app needed.

Do you find this works in Logos Notes Tab?

Ok.... all you "rich people" that have Apple (LOL) know anything that'll work with windows?

I just tested - this does not work in notes. The solution would be take notes in 'Pages,' then copy / paste to Notes.
