Highlight text using touch screen in Windows 11

Using my Surface Go 3 running Windows 11 I am able to select and highlight only one word at a time. On my old Android tablet I was able to select and highlight as much text as I wanted by dragging "handles" that appeared when a word was selected. No handles appear on my current setup. Am I missing something or is this a bug?

On Surface you are probably running the PROGRAM, on Android you were running the APP. Many years ago Faithlife discontinued the Windows APP. Users have been asking for touch features in the Program for years.

Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you. For years I've been using a Surface Go and other tablets for Logos in touch screen mode. The best way I was able to do what you're asking is by using the free program TouchMousePointer. That worked... until Windows 11. I actually bought and returned a Go 3 just last week because of this very reason - I need to stay on Windows 10 for TouchMousePointer.

You can use the "Virtual Touchpad" on Windows 11 to have mouse control, but the pad isn't see-through and it takes up too much of the screen for my liking.

Thank you for the information. How can I add my voice to those requesting touch features for the Windows version? Or does it make any difference? If users have been asking for years, perhaps Logos just does not care.

Brian, Thank you for the reply. I had not heard of the Virtual Touchpad. I turned it on and, as you said, it does take up considerable real-estate.  I will try it for now and hope for a better solution to come from Logos.

I see you've been pointed to Feedback. Before Feedback was UserVoice. Over 1,000 votes were collected going back to at least 2010

If users have been asking for years, perhaps Logos just does not care.

As users, we do not know the in's and out's of the code (FL and 3rd party) making up the application. Therefore, we cannot make an estimate on the work required to implement a change. What we do know, it that requests that were near the top of uservoice got done even when FL had previously announced they would not do it. And at least one request that was near the top has not been done - but Bradley did share why it was a request that would require reworking the storage/tagging of all resources. In other words, we've seen that Logos does care but we don't have the information to always understand what they choose to prioritize.
