Logos 9 Is Not Working Properly
I opened up Logos today and found that some of the icons were not visible. I would hoover over them and they would show up. If I right-click on my Bible It ends up blowing the font size up. And other anomalies.

This is most likely a problem on your computer not a Logos problem per se. I'd try:
- close the application; turn the computer off; wait 10 seconds; turn computer on; open application. Does the problem persist?
- do a check of your hard drive? are there bad sectors?

I'm also getting the problem of fonts suddenly becoming bigger especially when I select text and then it goes back to normal size when I stop selecting.

As a guess, check that Hardware Acceleration is enabled in Program Settings. Restart Logos if you change it.

Hardware acceleration has always been enabled.

Check that your video/graphics drivers are current, otherwise start a new BUG thread that includes a screenshot (video if possible).

I've updated my graphics drivers and restarted my system but by just clicking the tabs, I still get the problems. (Thanks for suggestion though).

Gerard,
Does this happen in System (non-Dark) mode?

Yes, it does happen sometimes. It apparently happens less when Logos is not maximized. I'm using Light mode because my system is dark mode.

Gerard and James,
Do either of you have a service running named, "Nahamic Service" in your Services window?
You can open the Services window by clicking the Start menu (or the magnifying glass adjacent to it) and then searching "services". (The image below demonstrates what that looks like.) Look for Nahimic Service when you have the services window open. Disabling this service may resolve the problem.
Alternatively we've had success with disabling Hardware Acceleration in Logos from Tools > Program Settings.

Hi Thomas,
After disabling Nahimic Service and restarting Logos, the problems appeared to be solved. Thanks! Even with my Hardware Acceleration Enabled, it still works.

If logos is indexing or downloading big files you should let it finish, before doing complicated tacks. Also if you use Windows, make sure all drivers are up to date and Windows is up to date. If you’re in the middle of a big Windows update in the back ground that could be an issue too. I’ve had alittle freezing up. But once Windows was up to date and drivers up to date. All was fine. Oh Yea!!! Don’t power off in the middle of indexing…. I powered back up, took a while to finish indexing. But then all was fine. Best thing to do if freezen. Just power down normally and power back up make sure internet is up and just wait alittle.

Hi Thomas and all,
I was having the same exact problem occurring on my PC and had tried numerous troubleshooting problems, all of which failed, before finding this forum. Once I disabled the Nahimic Service as suggested, it completely resolved the problem! Thank you so much!!

Yes, this worked. I disabled the Nahimic Service and things are back to normal.
