Is there a way to add to Favorites from a floating window?

I often use floating windows, but I cannot add to Favorites from a floating window.  Is seems that I have to dock the resource, drag it to the Favorites section, then undock it.  Is there a better way to do this?

I tried to drag a new Note to Favorites and it works fine; the first image shows me dragging the title bar over and Favorites indicates it is prepared to accept the drag and drop, and the second image shows the Untitled Notes in my Favorites.

If this doesn't help maybe you can give us a more specific example of what you are trying that does not work.

    Hi John,

I wondering if you are 'grabbing' and 'dragging' the correct part of the floating window? You need to grab the tab section (highlighted below) otherwise you will just pull the floating window around the screen... Does this work for you?

The shortcut key for adding a resource to Favorites is Ctrl + D (while the panel containing the resource is active). It works from a floating window. I just verified it.
