Numbered Lists??

Hey everyone..... 

I used numbered lists extensively and when I attempt to put a numbered list in the notes or sermon writing module, it changes the number back to one. In other words, I'll write out 1. and then write some info down. Once I'm done with the notes to that section, I go back to the numbered list which I want to begin at 2, but the program will NOT allow me to do this at all - even typing it out myself. 

Just glancing at the forums, it seems as though this was been a problem since 2011. Has there ever been a fix for this?
