I would like to upgrade to Logos 9 but I need some help before I do so. I don't like upgrades because I don't like change and usually what happens is I upgrade and my whole system looks different than before. Will the upgrade change my settings and theme? If so, hope would I be able to revert it to my old theme immediately?

Depends which system you are using currently. The difference in outlook between L8-L9 is very small. It mainly means you'll find some new options and buttons in your menu. Most of those can be turned off. It is not possible to completely switch back to the old outlook, but I think you won't feel a need to and you'll be used to the slight changes very quickly.

What version of Logos software are you currently running?

If the most recent version of Logos 8 then you shouldn't see major changes when upgrading to Logos 9. You will see some additional icons on resource panes and some new items in menus.

And what do you mean by theme?

I am thinking of colour scheme and font.

No real change there unless you start exploring the optional Dark Mode capability introduced in Logos 9

About one year ago you posted:

Just installed Logos 9 and noticed that Logos has tinkered with the font defaults. I loved the way my fonts worked in version 8,

... The fonts and look have changed in version 9 and not for the better in my opinion. Logos may have changed their default font to look better with the dark theme they have bundled in the new version. I am not sure, but I would like to be able to restore my previous setup, even if it means uninstalling version 9.

Logos 9 has not changed in that time, except for a Store button in the main taskbar that can be removed in Settings.

Thanks so much Dave for your answer. I am glad I held off until today.

I don't know why software companies keep doing this with their new releases. I suspect most people would like the new software to look like the old version, and have additional features they can choose to turn on if they would so like.
