Ever since I've been running L4 for mac (A1), I've not been able to get my resources to d/l.5611.Archive.zip
Terry,
It looks like the indexer can't connect for some reason to downloads.logos.com. Do you have any kind of firewall or proxy that your internet has to go through?
If I do I didn't install it. I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.4 on an IMac.
Just checked the firewall settings and the firewall is not even active
Can you upload the following files?
/Users/BrownHouse/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/qxfz3m23.2uf/DownloadManager/DownloadManager.db
/Users/BrownHouse/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Data/qxfz3m23.2uf/UpdateManager/Updates.db
Tom, here are the files:
6330.DownloadManager.db
The updates.db file won't upload.
Terry,Can you compress the Updates.db before posting it?
Hello Tom, I got frustrated w/L4 and deleted the program and reinstalled it. The resources d/l process took several hours and when completed, they still were not accessible. Idk what is wrong but this problem is extremely annoying.
Please advise.
Thanks
Terry
terry,Can you post your logs? I'll take a look in the morning.
My latest logs
40523.Archive.zip
Can you move this file out of the Resources folder to your Desktop and restart Logos 4?
/Library/Application Support/Libronix DLS/Resources/D4DDAYS.LSF
I'm going to see if I can figure out what in this file is causing problems for the indexer.
Tom
Hi Tom, that file doesn't exist. In my frustration, I deleted the Libronix/L4 folders before reinstalling L4. I then noticed that there were no resources in the L4 resources folder. I had a bright idea to copy the resources from my backed up libronix resources folder into the L4 resources folder but the system still does not recognize any of my books.
I'm paralyzed!
Hi Terry,
I am afraid that deleting and reinstalling is a 'Windows' habit that rarely produces positive results on Macs.
Unless Logos fails to open then the problem is more likely to be to do with one of the support files that isn't affected by the re-install.
I take it that you have tried 'Update Resources' from the command box?
I am not sure if it is still the case but you used to have to select the command from the drop-down menu rather than just hitting return. And if that didn't work then you needed to restart Logos immediately after clicking on the command.
No doubt Tom will correct me if I am living in the past.

There are multiple "Library" folders on your system. The one I'm refereing to is under "Macintosh HD", not under your user Home folder.
I'm fairly certain there is a D4DDAYS.LSF file on your system somewhere, because of this line in your Console Messages.log
7/27/10 11:02:35 PM [0x0-0x74074].com.logos.Logos_Bible_Software_4[1116] 07/27/2010 23:02:35 | DEBUG | 3 | LogosResourceDriver | Identifying resource file located at /Library/Application Support/Libronix DLS/Resources/D4DDAYS.LSF
That file appears to be causing the crash.
Ok tom, you were absolutely right about the multiple libraries. I had no idea that I had more than one on this computer. I did delete the file and started L4 but to no avail. It would not read the resources.
OK, could you post your logs again?
Tom, thanks for all of your help. I removed the entire Libronix library from my Mac HD, restarted L4 and voila...it's working. My resources have been d/l'd and are now indexing. It does appear that the number of resources showing up is far less than I actually own, (by nearly 400), but who's counting? If there is a way to get L4 to include more resources I would love to know, but I am very happy for now.
Thanks again for your patience!
