Its taking forever to download my resources after updating from WordSearch to logos 9. I've used the fastest internet connection i can lay my hands on. and yet, it's taking forever to finish downloading.

Also, how do I know how many books/resources I have?

Would really appreciate help on this.

Welcome to the forums. If this is you initial download, you are probably also download some essential datasets in addition to your library. When the download is completed (and preferably indexing as well), you can open your library and see a count of your resources. To know how long your download should take, we would have to know the size of your library and the speed of your connection. Anything from minutes to many hours can be reasonable.

May I add my welcome to you as well Sedooter?

The questions I would ask are?

How much free space do you have on your drive. On an initial install there is a huge overhead of free-space needed to allow the initial installation to take place.

What type of HD do you have ie is it an SSD?

The received wisdom is to start the installation just before going to bed and check the state once the butler has cleared the morning breakfast.

Did you elect to download everything or did you choose a smaller set of resources. Do you remember the download size it stated?

If you have been downloading for several hours, try closing the Download window and starting Logos. It will let you know if there are more resources to download and what the size is.

One way to know how many resources you have is to select the library icon in the mobile app. There is a line at the top with the total.
