Cannot uncombine Taskbar icons in Windows 11

This is a problem with the Windows 11 taskbar (not Logos’ fault), but I’m reaching out for help as it’s slowing me down.

I work with multiple windows open in Logos, typically 3 or 4: (Bibles, books, search, library). Windows 10 could show each of these in the taskbar, so a single click switched windows. Windows 11 can only show a single icon for Logos, leading to a micro-image of the windows that I must then figure out before I can select the one I’m switching to. I’m finding this very unproductive.

I’ve read of some third-party utilities you can purchase to restore/replace the old Win10 taskbar, but I’d prefer not to use them as they’re likely to break in future Win11 updates.

So, what are the rest of you doing? If this has affected you, do you have suggestions to restore productivity?

Thanks David. That is what I'm doing. But I'm finding that the extra click, and then scanning the open windows to select a target is much slower than reading the name directly in the taskbar as we used to be able to do. Switching windows is something I do multiple times an hour (sometimes multiple times a minute).

It is likely that current hacks will impair other functionality of the taskbar, so it is best to work with combined icons or revert to Windows 10. If MS doesn't restore uncombined icons, then the future will see more professional utilities (remember the Start Button debacle on Windows 8).

Thanks, Dave. I think you're right. Yesterday I tried working with non-maximized windows, so I could click on the title bar of the one I wanted. But that's unattractive as I'm seeing less content/context in smaller windows.

Let's hope MS restores the option to uncombine.
