New Passage Analysis Colors are hard on the eyes in Light Mode

From the 9.9 release notes wiki:

  • Dark Mode
    • Improved Dark Mode colors for the Passage Analysis Compare Pericopes charts.

Is it possible to have the old colors back for Light Mode and keep the new colors for Dark Mode? The changes in the colors (which are rather dark and robust now) make it hard to see the Compare Pericopes charts in Light Mode. See below. The dark colors with black font make it hard to read the wording of the pericopes and the colors hurt my eyes now. A few other users have complained about this on the Logos Bible Tips and Tricks Facebook page as well.

Is it possible to have the old color scheme back for Light Mode and the new color scheme for Dark Mode? I know that folks complained that the lighter colors were hard to see in Dark Mode so I wouldn't want their problem to return. But "fixing" the colors for them has created a problem for those of us who use Light Mode.

By the way, the font gets even harder to see when my blue light filter comes on at night.

I use Light Mode and strongly agree with Kiyah’s assessment and request.  The new bolder, intense pericope colors hurt my eyes and make the pericope titles less legible.  In fact, these new colors are so uncomfortable to my eyes that I cannot stare at any pericope long enough to even attempt to read its title.

If this new color scheme works for those who use Dark Mode, I am glad for them but for me it has caused the Compare Pericopes charts to be nearly unusable.

Faithlife please bring back the old color scheme for Compare Pericopes in Light Mode and leave the new color scheme for Dark Mode only!

We've already got an open case for this bug. I'll add a link to this thread in the case so we can post an update here when it's fixed.

This has been improved in 9.10.
