Edit PB data directly from Library view
Hi all,
I've got a lot of PBBs that show up nicely in my library view, but I just realized I haven't done proper work of setting "subject" for most of them. Now, It's easy to find those books in the library using filters, but then I have to open PB library and use its terrible search window as there's no way to sort books (why not use the same "library" engine, puzzles me). Then, I go edit, add subject and rebuild the book.
I would love to see a RMB option in main libraray with "Edit PB" to easily access the Edit dialogue only reserved in PB library by default.
Why adding data like subject would require "book rebuilding" but changing title, short title, author or series would not is another puzzle.

ALL of the metadata (except Title) in the PBB tool is not user editable for FL resources, so I'm guessing that FL kept the UI as simple as possible.

What i meant was, once you find your PB in Library and open "information" panel, you can easily edit Title, Abrev title and series name. For everything else you need to find your PB in PB section (which has a terrible search engine)

That was what I meant, but the but the 'everything else' is not editable in FL resources e.g. type, subject, author, copyright. So it has to be done in the PBB tool. My conclusion was whether FL would make it easier to edit this metatdata without having to build the PBB.

The personal book builder tool isn't a high priority feature for FL any longer. I don't expect to see major new features added anytime soon.

Thanks for the clarification.
Yes, it costs a lot of money to develop the software, host the servers, etc. Anything which will jeopardize FL’s ability to continue to do so runs against our interests, even if a much loved feature takes a backseat.
