Linking to dictionary
Sometimes I'm reading an old commentary and some old English word is there. Is there a way to link a Dictionary to search within the commentary? I am looking for something similar to a powersearch.

The Power Lookup tool works with references. So open your dictionary and then click "Send hyperlinks here" in the Panel menu (top right icon). Double-click the word and it should appear in the dictionary.
If necessary set Double-Click Action = Look up in Program Settings.

Does this? I have 'update on click' set.
Things I learned this fine sunny morning. CED8E is the number 847,246. Which doesn't compute to anything ... not a square, no special cosine, etc.

I wish FL's various library searches included the 'official' number lookup. I was hoping your lookup ref'd the old Websters, which I can't find.

At the risk of one looking a bit of chump having missed the joke...
CED8E is Collins English Dictionary 8th Edition - which, as I pointed out in another thread has the advantage of being, primarily, in English.
As you will appreciate 'U is very important to Saviour' as the teenager texted to the vicar.

I've never thought you could succeed at chumpiness!
Apologies ... not joking. I thought Logos used to offer an old english dictionary, whose value was old definitions, when reading older resources? I thought maybe Webster, but now I'm thinking someone else. I scanned 6x60 dictionary resources on Logos.com.

There was a push for one to match the KJV but I don't recall if it ever made it out of community pricing/prepublication.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Did you try this one? (EDIT: Of course I don't know if "American English" is considered "Old" [;)] )

Roy ... that's the one. Thank you! I guess I'm blind .... I found all the wrong Websters.
MJ, that's really too bad. Even if one weren't a KJV'er, the early english-translation years were important, especially when the same translator changes a word. I have my eye on Bishop's Bible down in the Florida software company. I wish Logos would add Bishops and an early english dictionary. Probably not much demand.

There is one coming over from WordSearch... in production now...

You can also try looking at a piece of software called WordWeb. It works well in Windows, not so much in macOS but it cane be used there also.
By default it uses the combo Control-RightClick to look up the word under the mouse pointer. There is a free dictionary available and others that are reasonable in cost as add-ons.
I have it on my laptop (windows) and it works well. I also have it on my mac and to use it there I have to 1st copy the word to the clipboard. The program can then grab the word from there to look it up.
Just another idea for you. The nice thing about WordWeb is that it will also work outside of Logos.

I notice from the WordSearch catalog, there is another dictionary:
Webster’s Revised Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language
Is this dictionary in any way related to American Dictionary of the English Language..?[8-)]

Christian, you need to provide more detail in your responses (and your questions) if we are to have an effective dialogue.
So why did it not work?
