What am I Missing?

I am on Android, how do I identify which layout I have open and working on?  I have several layouts saved and can open them but I see no name of the currant layout I am working on.  Why is this a problem for me, is that I will close the app and open it later and because of the closeness of subjects my memory is such that I don't remember the name of the layout...so what am I missing to have the currant name of the file I am working on?

I don't see which layout is open on ios either. It may not be a feature of the app.

Everett, I have the same problem. I have lots of layouts in my Android App. I may be in one for several days. I may need to be able to update it before I switch to another but I can't remember for sure. But there's not way to see what is the current layout (unlike the desktop version).

    Here are some options

Best: When viewing the list of Layouts, display the name of the current layout at the top, below the word "layouts" and above "recently closed"

    Example: Current:Study on Luke

With the three button menu to the right like you see on the layouts listed below

    In general

    1. Display someplace what is the current layout, just like the desktop version

    2. However the name of the current layout is displayed, have a save button that will update the current layout like Ctrl-Alt-L in the desktop version

I rarely use the forum. Is there a way to make a request for this feature? I do programming. It doesn't seem like this would be a huge job to implement.

    A cumbersome work-around I just thought of

Create a notebook. Possible name "Which Mobile Layout In Use"

Create a note for each Mobile layout you want to be able to remember

    Open a layout

Add that notebook you just created and open the note that has the Mobile Layout name in it.

If you can't remember the name of the layout, find that notebook in the current layout. It should still be open to that note with the name of the layout. I'm sure there's something that could go wrong, like closing the notebook or opening a different note that doesn't match the current layout.

Suggestion: when posting in forum, for subject line, try to put short description of the problem or issue.

I accidentally did my previous posts as a quick reply and it seems that no one else can see it, not even me. Could you copy my note to you and send it back to me?

Sorry. I'm a novice on these forums

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for your reply, they are helpful.  What I have found out is that this app does not have the capability that the PC app has and that is, it does display the name of the layout that is open.  I would certainly hope that this feature would be added to the mobile app.  I do some heavy studying and I have over 700 named layouts  on my computer program and I am finding myself using my android more and more as my phone is so much easier to carry around than my computer.  And in that the devices will sync with one another if the mobile app would name the layout open it would sure simplfy things.

Anyway, thanks again for your reply’

    Blessings,

    Everette
