When I open "Exegetical Guide" a list of resource categories opens. I see an "Add" drop down.
1. can the category names, eg "Grammars", be customized? 2. is there a way to customize which resources appear in each category?

Welcome to the forums.
1. No, the section (category) names cannot be changed. One can delete sections (extreme right on section bar) or add sections (upper right in heading area.
2. Some of the sections (categories) allow you to customize what resources are used. These sections often can appear more than once, referring to different resources. Hover on the section bar and a settings option will appear when you can specify the resources. Other sections are built off the totality of Faithlife offerings rather than your library headings. Here the resources cannot be modified by the user.
