How can I find out the source and affiliation of the ESV, CSB, and NLT translations?
Please don't try to convince me that you made any effort to do this for yourself.
- Read the preface of the Bible translation
- Read any book on choosing your translation.
- Look in Wikipedia for the translation/translators
- Use Google to find the publishers and read their blurbs
- Use Google to find the translators/sponsoring organization and read their blurbs
Please listen to the multiple voices trying to get you to make a stab at doing your own research then come to the forum when stumped.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
