Technical question on moving files

HI all, I have a question about moving files that maybe you can help me with.

For years I have kept my Personal Book/PBB source files in a network directory. So, when I bring up one to edit or recompile from within Verbum/Logos, it is pointing to that folder of course. Now, for reasons beyond the scope of the question, I really want to move that folder somewhere else. I am pretty sure that won't break anything as Logos won't care as long as I am not doing edits (the compiled files are sinde the Resources folder), but if I want to Edit/open a source file of a Personal Book from within Logos, I will have to delete the existing file, and add the file from the new location. But it bothers me, that of my 350 personal books, as soon as I do this folder movement, the source file pointers for the building of each book within Logos are now wrong.

So - is there some way I can move the folder/files and quickly resolve pointing the personal book entries within Logos to the new folder? Or is there any way to resolve this other than going through each of my 350 books one by one and adding the new correct file, and rebuilding? That will take forever. I don't think there is an easy way to reconcile this, but I was hopeful of a clever solution. This is on a Mac by the way. Thanks!

No. Not even for Windows! Just accept having to change the location when you want to make changes to a book.

The other Dave will know more BUT you will not need to rebuild the PBB until you need to change it.  That way you can take your time in updating where the files live.  Try to make it easy by choosing Path names very similar to the old path name.

Then make a file with all of the old path names [Maybe the 'dir /x /s >dir.txt' commend from the DOS level under the 'CMD' prompt on a PC] and the new path names and cut and paste when doing an update.  [There maybe other ways to get a directory listing with folder and file names to build your list but I am left over from the pre Windows age. But then Unix / Linux do the same things at terminal level]
