Personal Book compiled on one computer isn't fully recognised on another

I've recently added a lectionary-formatted Personal Book to my library. (it was shared by NB.Mick at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/204828.aspx

I added this on my home computer and Uploaded it within the PB Tool.

On my work computer (both running Windows 11 and the current Logos stable release), this resource is visible in the Library and downloaded to my computer as shown. But it doesn't appear in the Command Box as a resource option when I try to open it from there.

It also doesn't open when I click the associated card on the Homepage - my next highest prioritised lectionary does instead.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

I compiled part of the source file on Desktop and verified that it functioned as a lectionary. Then I used the Scan command to load it onto my Laptop (an Eph 4:9 approach because the. Eph 4:10 approach would involve hiding the resource in order to remove it[:D]). It also functioned as expected, incl. the Open command.

On your Work computer try hiding/unhiding it to get another copy (or Remove/Download it). You could also rebuild/upload it (from Work) with a metadata change and see if it functions on both computers.

Wonder about personal book "uploading" still having silent metadata updates that reduces personal book functionality ? => Bug: 7.2 RC 3 Regression: Personal Book Discourse Glossary

Work around to Personal Book (PB) upload bug (metadata update) that effectively disables PB index(es) is compiling PB followed by using scan command for copying resource file to other installations.

I gave up on Personal Books long ago. Instead, I create a Notebook with the name of the book, and make each chapter into its own note. It transfers flawlessly from machine to machine, never gives me compiling errors, and is (for my purposes) far easier to use.

Thanks for looking into this Dave

I'm not at work today but have just tried the same thing on my MacBook. It, too, didn't recognise the PB from the command box. Hiding/Unhiding did not resolve it.

    I'll look at rebuilding later

    Thanks again, Graham

Question: What is the size of the PBB file? That was seen as a reason that upload did not work in other discussions.

The 2022 file is 385k compiled (if upload won't work, the button stays greyed out after compile). I first thought I saw the same issue - having only one machine, I compiled on Logos, uploaded and then got the resource in Verbum. It seemed at first the resource was in the library, but not available for homepage tile and not open-able through command box. But after restarting Verbum fully, having the library prepare and such, now it seems to work (note I'm running Win 10, not 11, and my Logos is the new beta).

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

Thanks for sharing that Mick - I'll look into it further.
