LOGOS 9 FOR macOS MONTEREY 12.1 CRASHING

I use Logos 9 1-4 hours daily on my 2019 MacBook Pro 16, and it crashes very frequently, probably on average at least once per sitting. I have not found any settings or resources (such as morphology charts or maps, for example) that definitely affect this, though I try not to leave either of them on when I'm not using them. Anyone else experiencing this? Anyone found a solution? Is Logos aware of/working on this problem?

I'd be glad to hear from anyone on this, but ESPECIALLY FROM CORPORATE TECHS FROM LOGOS.

The next time you open Logos, follow the instructions on this page to enable logging:

    https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027869132-How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files

Then upload your logs to this thread with more details about exactly what you were doing when the crash occurred. That will make it easier for someone from Faithlife to help diagnose the problem. Including screenshots is also helpful.

Is Logos aware of/working on this problem?

I am unaware of any ongoing issue. It’s likely an issue with your unique setup and/or installation.

The forums are primarily user supported help. If you want to have a response from FL, please give them a call. If you want help here, please provide logs.

As a power user who has crashed Logos for Mac many times over a decade (too many times to count on my fingers and toes), not know what to try for crash replication attempt using Logos 9.11 Beta 1 on a 2019 iMac running macOS Monterey 12.1 (since my usage of Logos 9 is currently not crashing). Over the years have seen Faithlife quickly fix repeatable crashes, which shows in Logos Wiki => Logos Release History (especially service releases).

Logos Help Center (LHC) has: (created & maintained by Faithlife Corporate techs)

    • What to do if Logos Crashes | Mac (noted first suggestion is replacing Logos application bundle with current stable release, which does no harm if you are using default stable releases)

In the Logos Wiki, Faithlife Corporation creates & maintains stable release notes & beta release notes while users create & maintain the rest. Logos Wiki has The Logos 9 Beta Program (replacing a Beta bundle with an older Stable release is a way to cause an crash on startup, which prevents user data from being adversely affected by trying to use an older application release with your application database files)

    Keep Smiling [:)]
